Update @ 949PM 2/27:

Well, I thought, “What will happen tonight?” God totally moved on me in a funny quirky way. I was about to drop (forever) “What an Awesome God” from the Calvary Chapel Seaside set list. Well, as the last song before the sermon, with only 7 of us there, it was the loudest (and I mean overwhelmingly LOUD) song that was sung and my hymn lady was singing, too. God is always cracking me up. As if He were saying to me, “Got it all figured out, right?” ya, right!

Jesus How I Love You (C)

I learned this song from Gary Arthur back when we all went to Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. It was so wonderful to sing it with him while we were both at Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano and at New Song Calvary in Aliso Viejo, CA where he leads worship. What a great song. Kevin Green is the pastor at Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg. Click on the link to check out his CD.

This song says it all… totally fits in with our study in Hebrews. “Only by Your blood and it’s only through Your mercy, I come….”

He Is Here

He is Here and Hiding Place are two of the best songs I found this past year (2007) to use in corporate worship. I found He is Here from SongDISCovery and I found Hiding Place on Desperation’s Myspace page.

You can hear a clip here. Although my favorite version is of Jackie Brigstock singing with Chris Falson and The Towne Cryers: LIVE IN ATLANTA. Also, Christian City Church Manhattan covers this song as well. This is such a wonderfully written song.

I will attempt to use this song one more time before I decide if it is a fit for Seaside. I really love this song!

Inspiring set! So you are friends with Keith… cool, me too. I’ve been doing” Jesus, How I Love You” in E, for about 9 years now…. small world.

Once again, I think we really need to worship together … like, as soon as God would give us the chance.

I met him and his wife once when they played at our cafe back when I was at CC San Juan Capistrano probably in 1999, but no, we’re friends with Gary Arthur. I guess Gary Arthur Kevin Green and Dwane Clark used to all write songs together. I learned both of those songs from Gary. If you love “Jesus how I love you” you’ll love “I Will Trust in YOU” AWESOME Song! Quotes Job 42 and Habakkuk 3:17
